Spiritual counselling- A humble service to the Chaitya Guru

Often, parents assist the children in their homework. Sometimes, the school teachers give home projects and grade the students according to the quality of the home project. The expected role of parents is to assist their children in making the project but some parents do the project themselves and allow little contribution of their children. This may make the project of students look beautiful and they may get good grades and recognition in the school but they fail to learn from the project which was the actual objective behind the project. Sometimes even parents crave for the satisfaction of being the parent of the student who got the best project award, how unfortunate such students are who get such parents. Such parents sometimes get so obsessed with their own prestige among the fellow parents, connected to grades of their children in the school that even if the children want to do their own projects, they don’t let them do that and give excuse that your grades will go low and you will be mocked in the school and thus not only sieze the opportunities to learn from their children but also harm the children’s self confidence. 

Now, the same case study discussed above may apply in case of spiritual counselling.

Krishna showed this by by His role as Parthasarthi. He plays the role of a mentor and His all efforts are just to encourage His devotees to put an effort towards his own duties/projects. Sometimes, the Lord also intervenes like killing Hiranyakashipu for Prahlad but that is a very special case when collective adharma becomes collosal then Avatar of Lord have to appear by default. Thus, in that situation it was not just to protect Prahlad Lord appeared but it was the time when Avatar had to come and the incident of Hiranyakashipu attacking the Prahlad just preceded that moment, Prahlad didn’t expected the Avatar of Lord but Lord came.

A spiritual councillor may be more competent in dealing with life in comparison to the student but he is not expected to show his competence in doing the homework of his students but use all his competence to encourage his students to deal with  their own life situations and use all his creativity and abilities in this direction of encouraging them to grow out as a stronger person from each life situation.
